In his address at #elets #eIndia2014 summit Mr. Madhukar told CCTV to be a very important device for post incident investigation, surveillance, securing evidence, vital installations security and maintaining law and order in general. Mumbai police has a traffic oriented network of 105 cameras. Which are used to monitor the city traffic in control rooms. They by the means of installing 5,000 cameras, Mumbai police can reduce the rate of crime in the city. With the aid of NASSCOM, Mumbai Police has established a Social Media Lab.
