In the Valedictory session of the Microsoft Digital Governance Tech Summit, the panel discussion on ‘Innovations in Efficient Delivery of Government Services’ dealt with how the different government sectors in delivering the services to the citizens. Participants of the panel were S Suresh Kumar, Joint Secretary & Additional CEO, Government e Marketplace (GeM); George Kuruvilla, Chairman & Managing Director, Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL); Dr Rashmi Singh, Secretary, New Delhi Municipal Council; Soumya Goondla, Consultant to Commissioner, Electronic Service Delivery Office (e-Governance), Department of Information Technology, Government of Telangana and Rajesh Kumar, Head of Technology Strategy (Public Sector), Microsoft India. While the policymakers discussed the innovations brought across their respective departments, be it for procurement or urban development, communication or e-governance, Kumar from Microsoft talked about the role of Microsoft in bringing forth the advanced technologies to government sectors.
