A K Nigam, Managing Director, Forest Development Corporation of Maharashtra in his address at #elets #eIndia2014, while briefing about his department told the entire working as segregated under four divisions and being in operation since 1969. Our objective was to develop the low values miscellaneous forest into high value teak forest. As the teak is a very high value and prominent tree in Maharashtra it is often popularly known as gold green in Maharashtra. Commencing it’s operation as with planting of trees and by 1974, the company was incorporated under companies act.
