Dr. Padmaja Joshi, Senior Director, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Mumbai spoke on the topic- Cybersecurity & e-gov Solutions.
She said “There have been a lot of talks going on, taking the hardware perspective into focus. What we need to focus on is its software aspect as to what kind of application is being developed, what kind of authentication features are used, and how efficient and secure the application is. Mobile Penetration has increased drastically. We have 100 login IDs or passwords for 100 of the services we use which is really a very cumbersome process. Even in the case of OTP generation, there is some degree of breach of authentication. Therefore, a strong and unbreachable database is a must for cyber security”
