Andhra Pradesh has been true trailblazer in the healthcare reform in the country. It is one of the first States which is marching towards Universal Health Coverage and providing quality healthcare to the population. We have heard many firsts the Andhra Pradesh is responsible for, in terms of significant progress the State has made like infant mortality, maternal mortality, replacement fertility. The Department of Economic Affairs has approved Govt of Andhra Pradesh’s proposal for World Bank support for very innovative healthcare strengthening project $327 million.
