Uttar Pradesh is a very big State; the biggest in India (population-wise) and 4th largest (area-wise). Though, the State Government has taken a slew of measures, more needs to be done to improve various determinants of healthcare delivery. We have built our First Referral Units (FRU) through Regional Research Training Centres (RRTC) in medical colleges. The goal of RRTC programme is implementation of cost-effective, participatory and sustainable model in district hospitals.
